Hey there!

My name is Laura Wilkinson, owner of FinePixels Photography. My handsome husband of almost three years, is seen in the photos above and below. We own a pretty Aussie Collie dog named Jozie and a cat Leo who is a Siberian forest cat. Their photos are below!

I fit my photography sessions into evenings and weekends as I work during the week as a dog walker, which I absolutley love. It keeps life nice and busy. It's very handy to have my husband hop onto the team as a second photographer when needed for a job.

Since I was a little girl, I loved to capture nature with my macro canon Powershot. They are old school now! I was always the creative girl capturing leaves falling or resting softly on the forest floor, or a laughing friend across the room capturing their candid side. From there I grew comfortable taking photos of people on school trips and school events. I was known as the school photographer through most of middle school and high school.

To say I am grateful for the opportunity to capture people's favourite moment in time is an understatement. There is such beauty in seeing someone wiping a tear from their face as their daughter walks down the aisle at her dream wedding. There is such a wonder in seeing someone become confident in front of my camera even though they say they are not photogenic.

There is such a sweetness in their air while a newborn gives their biggest yawn and wiggles their little toes. To capture a family's beloved pet in the prime of their life so that their personality is captured and frozen in time in a frame. What a privilege to be alive today.
